August 5th: Cape Leveque to Broome
Cape Leveque All of us felt a bit sad leaving Cape Leveque as this was one of the more beautiful places we have seen and the stay at the little quiet beach hut had been very pleasant.

The flight to Broome was only one hour, so we arrived at Cable Beach Backpacker midday. We had been promised a pick up from the airport, but when we requested it, the staff of the hostel was too busy and asked us to take a cab on their expense instead. Very extraordinary service!

Feeding at Broome Crocodile Park Next door (that is Australian for 1 km down the same street) is Broome Crocodile Park which has a tour with feeding of the crocs at 3 pm. That was quite interesting. Some of the crocs were totally uninterested in the chickens they were fed with, whereas others were fighting fiercely to kill and shred the pray.

As the name probably reveals, Cable Beach Backpacker is not far from Cable Beach. We went Cable Beach sunset there to see one of the legendary sunsets, and were not disappointed.

Free sausage sizzle (Australian for sausages on the barbie stuffed in a piece of toast bread together with fried onions and tomato sauce) was our dinner which was followed by a couple of beers and another attempt to finish the updating of the diary.
