June 17th: Wynyard (Hellyer Gorge)
Rain forrest in Hellyer Gorge After getting to bed late, we all got up late. Chez had to go to work. The weather was not very good and getting worse, so we did not get out of the house until noon. The plan was to go to Cradle Mountain, but due to the rather bad weather, we postponed Cradle until next day, hoping for better weather and for Chez to finish her work today so that she could join us tomorrow. Instead we drove through Helleyer Gorge and took a couple of short (and cold) walks through the rain forest. Very fascinating - all the trees were covered in moss.

In the late afternoon we went to Burnie to pick up Chez, who was satisfied with her work and could take the Sunday off. We spend the evening in front of the fireplace and made sure not to get involved in too long discussions again, such that we could go to bed early.
